
Join NVFCP and the US Forest Service for Spring Mountains National Recreation Area for a day of historic preservation. The Tecopa Charcoal Kilns were first built in 1875 and have had many reconstructions. Learn more about the kilns as you help preserve them.
Activity 1: Brush removal from inside the fenced area around the kilns themselvesĀ
Activity 2: Graffiti removal from boulders that line the parking area
Requirements: 4x4 high clearance vehicle, ability to bend, stoop, walk on uneven terrain, and work in the outdoors
