Kathy's Rockstar Fund
This fund has been created in honor of Kathryn Ann Bax (Kathy), a brilliant, strong, kind, and loving person. Kathy lived her life by exploring, learning, and deeply loving her family and friends. She had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, even hiking the Appalachian Trail.
Kathy embraced life, her ancestral cultural heritage, and traditions. Her mission was always one of service. As a devoted volunteer for the Nevada Site Stewardship Program, Kathy enjoyed visiting and protecting historic sites, and she took great pride in recruiting and assisting fellow stewards. Her volunteer group of friends called themselves the "Rockstars".
Through these experiences, Kathy developed a deep desire to support parks across the United States. This passion burned in her heart every day, and she often said those were the best years of her life. Her final words were, "I am happy."
