What stories are waiting to be uncovered in Nevada’s state parks? For the past six years, the Nevada Site Stewardship Program (NSSP) has partnered with Nevada State Parks to explore archaeological and historic sites in Valley of Fire State Park and Ward Charcoal Ovens State Historic Park.
Because many of these areas have never been thoroughly surveyed, site stewards are joining archaeologists in the field to discover, document, and protect Nevada’s hidden past. This presentation takes you along on that adventure and explores what we’re learning about these two remarkable landscapes.
